Charlie Lee Arnold, a farmer of the Shady Grove community, died last Wednesday in the Lincoln County Hospital following a long illness. He was 69 years old. Services were Friday afternoon in the Chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home in Fayetteville with the Rev. Terrell Bain and the Rev. W. E. Roberson officiating. Burial was in the Shady Grove cemetery.

A native of Franklin County he was the son of the late Albert Fletcher and Annie Grammer Arnold and member of the Baptist Church. Survivors includes wife Mrs Bell Walker Arnold; five daughters, Sue Nell Sisk of Estill Springs, Neva Fay Luttrell of Anaheim,Germany, Mary Trimble of Jonesboro, Ga., Linda Victory and Peggy Dianne Arnold both of Murfreesboro; seven sons,Charles Arnold of Fayetteville, James Arnold of Kelso, Pat Arnold, and Wayne Arnold, both of Huntland, Billy Arnold, Ray Arnold, and Bobby Lee Arnold, all of Flintville; two sisters, Estell Hall of Estill Springs and Ozell Campbell of Winchester; and one brother, Jesse Junior Arnold of Ypslanti, Mich.; 17 grandchildren.
