Mrs. Fred Hansen(sic), nee Dora Reimers, aged 67, passed away at the St. Elizabeth hospital in Appleton at 4:45 a.m. this Wednesday morning, after a several months illness.
Mrs. Hansen was born August 13, 1874, in the town of New Holstein, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Reimers, and lived on a farm one and a half miles east of this city. She was united in marriage with Fred Hansen on November 18, 1898, and they made their home on a farm five miles northeast of New Holstein until 1935, when they moved to that city.
Mr. Hansen died January 13, 1936. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Oscar Peik of Potter, and Mrs. James Lechler of the town of Eaton; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. William Kuehl of New Holstein, and Mrs. William Edens of West Allis; and a brother, Edward, in Appleton.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Erbe-Hoffman Funeral Home. The body will be in state from 5:30 p.m. Thursday until the time of services. The Rev. A. George Schmid, pastor of the St. John Evangelical and Reformed church will officiate. Interment will be made in the Eaton cemetery. - 1941
