William H. Koepp, 76, of rural Chilton, died Thursday evening, June 22, at the Veterans Hospital at Wood, Wis., following a lengthy illness.

He was born on April 24, 1896 at Grafton, the son of the late Louis and Wilhelmina Koeppen Koepp. The family later moved to Brillion where he attended public school.
On Sept 30, 1924, he was married to Linda Brocker of the town of Eaton.

The couple moved to rural Chilton and lived there since their marriage. Mr. Koepp entered military service in 1918 and served overseas during World War I.
Mr. Koepp was an employee of the Calumet County Highway Department for 30 years before retiring in 1961.

He was a member of the Veterans of World War I Barracks No. 2205 of Chilton, and the fraternal Order of Eagles in Chilton.

Survivors are his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Longrie, rural Chilton. He was preceded in death by two sisters, and two brothers.

Funeral services were at Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel, with the Rev. John F. Baumann, pastor of St. Peter United Church of Christ in Kiel, officiating. Burial was in the Eaton Cemetery in the town of Eaton.
