MRS. BARTON DIES NEAR CRAIGVILLE
Had Been Ill For Past Few Months With Dropsy and Heart Trouble

Mrs. Barbara Ann Barton, wife of Jeremiah Barton, died at 8:20 o'clock this morning at her home east of Craigville, after an illness of a few months from dropsy and heart trouble. At the time her death occurred Mr. Barton was on the road to the city to obtain medicine for her.
Mrs. Barton was sixty years old October 12, 1913. She was married in 1874 to Jeremiah Barton and the following children survive this union: John E. Barton of near Curryville; Mrs. Charles Leimenstall, of near Craigville, and Miss Jennie Barton, at home. William J. Johnson, now twenty years old, a nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Barton, had made his home with them since he was a baby.
The following brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. John Williams of Washington state; Mrs. Wash Drumm of Minnesota; Matt Gaskill of Liberty Center; Mrs. Jacob First of Montpelier; Mrs. Jacob Brenner, John Gaskill, Jonathan Gaskill, Peter Gaskill, Edward Gaskill, Mrs. Allen Stahl, Mt. Zion; Mrs. John Smith, Warren; Mrs. J. J. Johnson, deceased. Six grandchildren also survive. The deceased was a member of the United Brethren church at Craigville and was held in the highest esteem by all who knew her.
The funeral cortege will leave the home at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Sherrill will be in charge of the services.
