Mrs. Laura Duncan Houston, 87, of the King's Daughters home died at 2 p.m. yesterday at Memorial hospital. Mrs. Houston suffered a stroke Wednesday night at the home and was taken to the hospital early Thursday morning.
She was born Sept. 3, 1858 in Christian county and had been a resident at the King's Daughters home for the last 14 years.
She was the widow of Hezekiah Houston and was a member of the Advent Christian church.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. F.M. Campbell, Springfield; a foster daughter, Mrs. Emma Oakes, Santa Barbara, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Duncan Houston of King's Daughters home will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Thomas C. Smith Sons funeral chapel with Rev. Mr. Bezanson officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial park.
Mrs. Houston died Friday at Memorial hospital.
