He married Lola Dawn Crowley August 23, 1940 in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple March 15, 1956. He worked as an independent advertising salesman. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he served as Bishop, Scouter, District Cub Commissioner, on the High Council and as Sunday School President. He was a true Patriot, loved the flag, and enjoyed fly fishing and Yellowstone Park.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Helen Lowder. Funeral Services were held July 9, 2002, at the Idaho Falls LDS 28th Ward, 1165 Azalea, with Bishop Cleo Geddes officiating.
