NORRIDGEWOCK - M. Laurette Cotes, 86, of Norridgewock passed away Monday, May 3, 2010, in Skowhegan. She was born Dec. 5, 1923, in Canada, the daughter of the late Alfred and Elise (Marquis) Theriault.

Laurette graduated from Skowhegan High School and attended Skowhegan Business School.

She was married to Harry Cotes.

Laurette worked as a secretary for area shoe shops and she owned and operated a jewelry store in Dexter with her husband.

She was a communicant of the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Skowhegan.

She is survived by many cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, William and Louise.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 14, at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, Water Street, Skowhegan, with Father John Manezzi officiating. Burial to follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Skowhegan. (Morning Sentinel 5/8/2010)
