James Bruce Casey, son of Mary Miller and Mathew Casey, was born in Clarinda, Iowa, November 2, 1881, and departed this life September 5, 1936, at the age of 54 years, 10 months and 3 days.s His mother, father and three brothers preceded him in death. In February, 1900, he was united in marriage to Martha Radke. To this union three children were born. They are Charles B., of Omaha, Nebr., Mrs. Olin Davison of Clarinda, and Mrs. Paul Palmquist of Rock Island, Ill. He is also survived by three children of a later marriage, Ruth, Juanita, and Luella, of Clarinda, besides one sister, Mrs. Nelle Guyette, of Lincoln, Nebr., and one brother, Milton J., of Clarinda, seven grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He was a plasterer by trade and worked with is brother, the late Chas. W. Casey, for many years. Funeral services were held at the Pruitt Funeral Home at three o’clock Sunday, September 6, 1936, with Rev. Alfred Hunter of College Springs in charge.
