YOUNGBLOOD
John A. "Buddy", 52, passed away Friday, May 12, 1995 in Oklahoma City of complications resulting from the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Building. John was born February 17, 1943 in Altus, Oklahoma to William Etheridge "Epp" and Lucille McLoud Youngblood and graduated from Warren High School in 1961. He had attended New Mexico State, The University of Albuquerque and the University of Oklahoma. While attending college he worked for the Valencia County Sheriff Department. He spent 10 years with the New Mexico State Police. On January 11, 1974 he and Katherine Jenkerson were married in Belen, New Mexico. He had resided in Yukon for 51/2 years coming from Austin, Texas. John was employed with the United States Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration Office of Motor Carriers as a Special Agent dealing with hazardous materials and safety regulations. He was also serving as Programs Manager for the Transportation Safety Institute and was an Advisor for The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance. He had served 1 year with the Department of Transportation Aviation Administration as a Sky Marshall. John was currently serving as a reservist for the Yukon and El Reno Police Departments and was a member of the FOP. John was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Ann and father, Epp Youngblood. Survivors are mother, Lucille Youngblood of Altus, Ok.; wife, Katherine Youngblood of the home; son, John Youngblood, Jr. of the home; 4 daughters, Tammy Youngblood of Yukon, Ok., Becky Youngblood of Del City, Ok., Ann Walker and husband John of Mustang, Ok., Robin Youngblood of the home; 2 sisters, Anita Cassidy and husband Bob of Nashua, New Hampshire, Kathy Belcher of Yukon, Ok.; grandson, Geoffrey Walker. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 18, 1995 at Council Roads Baptist Church with interment in Memorial Park Cemetery.
