WaKeeney -- Jacob J. Gerstner, 83, died Friday night in the Trego-Lemke Hospital in WaKeeney.

The St. Peter resident is survived by his wife Marcinna of the home; five sons, Adolph of Quinter, Wendelin of Collyer, Joe of Scott City and Alfred and Rudy, both of Colby; six daughters including Mrs. Henry Dinkel of Morland, Mrs. Mike Scheck and Mrs. Jake Dechant of Loveland, Colo., Mrs. Pete Katzern of Cortez, Colo., Mrs. Felix Korbe of Munjor and Mrs. Wilfred Klaus of Hays; three brothers, Peter of Arvada, Colo., Paul of Fargo, N.D., and August of Wichita; one sister, Mrs. George Kaberle of Hanford, Calif.; 46 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Peter with Father Alex Leiker (C.PP.S.) officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Community Hall in St. Peter after 2 p.m. today. There will also be a parish rosary at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Community Hall.
