FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. MARY BARBER-GAMEL
Mrs. Mary Gammel died May 26 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Nichol of Haynes. She was 90 years of age, born Nov. 8, 1842 at White Lake, Ontario. She was united in marriage on Oct. 28, 1861 to James Barber who died May 29, 1913. Four of eleven children are still living, Mrs. John Bennett and James Barber of Newberry, John Barber of Onaway and Mrs. John Nichol of Haynes.
Mrs. Barber was married a second time on August 16, 1920 to Duncan Gammel of Red Oak, Iowa, who survives.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Presbyterian church by Rev. C. S. Brown. Burial in the family lot at Springport Cemetery.
