She grew up on the family farm & later graduated from Normal School in 1910. She taught in several points in Manitoba, settling in Oakdale near Neepawa, where she met & married her beloved husband "Alex" Alexander, who predeceased her in June of 1954. She will always be deeply loved & remembered by her family & is survived by her daughter Doris (David) Bain of Winnipeg; son Ralph (Dilly) Cruickshank of Neepawa; daughter Bernice (John) Tyler of Vernon BC; her 7 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom she dearly loved & took great pride in. Upon her retirement to Neepawa Yellowhead Manor, her card games, her companionship of good friends, & her traveling to Winnipeg, Vancouver & Hawaii helped her enjoy life to the fullest in her later years. The family extends a most sincere & hearfelt thanks to the staff of Central Park Lodge, especially the 9th floor, for their compassion, caring & love shown to Mother & family during the past 4 years.
