GEORGE W. ROBERTSON

George W. Robertson was born at Edina, Knox County, Missouri, May 11,1866 and was the only son of Thomas B. and Marinda Dennis Robertson, and died at his home in East Bonne Terre, Sunday, December 14th at 7:45 p.m. at the age of 64 years, 7 months, and three days.

On June 30, 1896, he was united in marriage to Leona A. (Armina Leona)Pigg of near French Village, Mo (Jay Dee). To this union, seven children were born. Three daughters (Elma Opal, Nola Mae, and Ruby Ethel) Two daughters, the eldest (Elma Opal) and the youngest (Ruby Ethel), preceded the father in death.

He leaves to mourn their great loss his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Nola Adams, and four sons, Claude D., Carl B., William F., all of St. Louis; and, Howard E. at home. Five grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends mourn his death.

Funeral services were held at the East Bonne Terre Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Rev. Charles Wilson, of Cantwell, officiated. He was laid to rest in the Bonne Terre Cemetery, with the Benham Undertaking Company in charge.
