DEATH: Salem Twp; s: Ohio County Death Records, 1840-2001, FamilySearch.org (thanks to Craig Jacobs for locating this record for me).

BURIAL: I am no longer 100% certain that David and Catharine are buried in this cemetery (a recent photo volunteer has contacted the cemetery, which states they have no record of his burial here). A cemetery in Perry or Salem townships would seem more likely (such as Grandview; many Reeses there), but Lisbon cemetery in Center Twp. is still possible. He was born in Lisbon, and his possible parents (strong circumstantial evidence at present), John and Mary Rees, lived in Center township from 1820 until their deaths.

Married first Catharine Wolf 17 February 1831, Columbiana Co, Ohio.

Married second Mary Ann Gaskill (1837-1895); 18 November 1875, Columbiana Co, Ohio.

The Teegarden-Centennial covered bridge, near Salem, Columbiana Co, Ohio, was designed by Jeremiah C. Mountz and David Reese (s: Wikipedia). There were other 'David Reese' s in Columbiana county, but this David lived in the vicinity of the bridge, and was also a stonemason. Quite likely he was the David Reese involved with the bridge.

David's parents APPEAR TO BE John (1783-1859) and Mary (b. 1781 d. btw 1850-60) Rees.
