Charlotte B. Jenkins, 78, of County Road 50 South, died at 2:28 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2010 at Columbus Regional Hospital emergency room.
Mrs. Jenkins worked at Arvin Industries for 17 years and then was a domestic engineer formerly working at Blue & Co. for 20 years and also working in private homes.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren, was an avid bowler participating in various leagues and enjoyed working in her yard.
A sports enthusiast, Charlotte was an I.U. basketball, Indianapolis Colts, a Peyton Manning and Reggie Miller fan.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Steve Pumphrey officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday.
Burial will be at Ohio Chapel Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Born in Bartholomew County April 15, 1932, Charlotte was the daughter of Fred D. and Olive E. Cook Martin. She married Floyd A. Jenkins July 2, 1955. He preceded her in death on February 8, 1995.
Survivors include her children, Tammy (Larry) Thrasher and Tim (Carolyn) Jenkins both of Columbus; grandchildren, Katie and Corey Jenkins and Garrett Thrasher all of Columbus; sisters, Catherine (Gene) Bradley of New Castle, WY, Eileen Frazier of Columbus and Barbara Weber of Greensburg; brothers, Harold (Mildred) Martin of Indianapolis, Marion (Kay) Martin of Sun City, CA and Bill (Elaine) Martin of Columbus; sisters-in-law, Mae Jenkins, Betty Moore and Jean Schnell all of Columbus and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
