Mr. Edward Biden, 71 years old, died at the home of his niece, Mrs. A. Shipley, 1329 West Lombard street, yesterday from a complication of diseases. Mr. Biden was for many years in the commission business, but owing to failing health retired about two years ago. He was born at what is now Halethorpe and moved to Alexandria, Va., when youn,g establishing a fish business there. Later he moved to this city and engaged in the produce business.
Mrs. Biden, who died 40 years ago was Miss Annie Linthicum of Mathias, Baltimore county. Their daughter Eugenia, who died about 13 years ago, was the first wife of State Senator J. Charles Linthicum.
Mr. Biden funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon. Rev. Harry D. Mitchell, pastor of Harlem Park Methodist Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be in Loudon Park Cemetery.
