ELIZABETH — Funeral services for Darrell G. Crowe, 54, of Elizabeth, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, at Seabrook, Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Home's Market Street Chapel in New Albany with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. He died early Friday morning, May 7, 2010, at his home in Elizabeth.
He was enlisted in the U.S. Army, a member of Eastside Christian Church and a longtime mentor and friend of the Special Olympics.
Survivors include his loving wife, Beverly Crowe, of Elizabeth; two sons, Matthew Crowe and his wife, Cassie, of Elizabeth, and Shaun Logsdon, of New Albany; four daughters, Amanda Kerns and husband, Stanley, of Elizabeth, Maranda Drane and husband, Brian, of Elizabeth, Rachael Logsdon and husband, Matt, of New Albany, and Erin Logsdon, of New Albany; five grandchildren, Michael Crowe, Matthew Crowe, Avey Crowe, Autumn Drane and Jackson Holcomb; one brother, Richard Crowe and wife, Flossie, of Salem; one sister, Annie Smith and husband, George, of Otisco; and two sisters in law, Maxie Ford, of Jeffersonville, and Nancy Crowe, of Memphis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Nancy Elizabeth Crowe; two brothers, Warren Crowe and John Crowe; and a son, Scotty Crowe.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to Special Olympics in lieu of flowers.
