Harvey E. Lewis, 72, of 309 N. Logan St., West Frankfort, died Friday in the Franklin Hospital, Benton. Services will be held today at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Valier, where he was a member. The Rev. Harl Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, northeast of Valier. Mr. Lewis was a retired butcher. He was the son of Andrew Jackson and Helen Isiac (sic.) Lewis. Suriviving are his wife, the former Fay Haymaker; two daughters, Ruth James and Mrs. Fred Everett, both of Roseboro, Ore.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a brother, Newton of Valier; and three sisters, Edna Gulley and Pearl Cutler both of Valier and Orbin Dubois of Christopher. Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death. The Gilbert Funeral Home, Christopher, was in charge of arrangements.
