Gilbert (Gil) L. Armstrong, 66, of Galt died Saturday at home after a short illness. Mr. Armstrong was born in Stockton and lived nine years in Galt. Mr. Armstrong retired after many years as a truck driver with Manna-Pro in Stockton. He graduated from Calaveras High School. Mr. Armstrong served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Lockeford, the Elks Lodge in Stockton and the Teamsters union.
Survivors: wife, Living of Galt: stepson, Living of Stockton; and sister, Living of WA.
Sevices: Memorial, 11 am Friday, Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi. Internment: private. Memorials: Hospice of San Joaquin, Stockton, CA.
