Devon Emerson, age 64 of Brooklyn, passed away suddenly Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He was born January 17, 1942 in Jackson, the son of Arlo and Elizabeth (Route) Emerson.
Besides his parents, Devon was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Stone and brother-in-law, Tom McCourtie. He is survived by his children, Diane (Mike) Worthing, Darlene Emerson, Ross Emerson, and Lee Emerson all of Brooklyn, 5 grandchildren, Danielle, Brooke, Kevin, Cami and Eric, and one great grandchild, Zachary, sister, Vicky McCourtie of Clarklake and brother, Collin (Shawn) Emerson of Temperance.
Cremation has taken place and a Graveside service and burial of ashes will take place on September 6, 2006 at Highland Cemetery in Brooklyn beginning at 11 a.m., with the Reverend Lawrence R. Walters officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to the family to be used for final expenses.
Arrangements are entrusted to Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Braun Chapel in Brooklyn.
