Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney with Reverend Father Jerry Wirth officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Olney.
Mrs. Nix was born on June 27, 1913, in Richland County, the daughter of John and Saloma (Oakes) Hahn.
She married Maurice Jerome Nix on May 6, 1935, in Olney.
He preceded her in death on August 2, 1987.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney and St. Joseph Church Altar Society.
Mrs. Nix is survived by two sons, Nyle Nix, of Olney, and Kenneth Nix and his wife, Janet, of Olney; three daughters, Carol Yager and her husband, Ed, of Newton, Judy Ochs and her husband, Florent, of Newton, and Rosemary Hawkins and her husband, Phil, of Effingham; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and four sisters.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Foundation Trust.
