Scruggs Funeral Services Held In Town Creek
Services were conducted today at 4 p.m. at the Town Creek Methodist Church for Thomas Otho Scruggs 74, a resident of Town Creek. Mr. Scruggs died suddenly at his residence at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. He was a member of the Methodist Church and a retired farmer.
Rev. Amberton of Town Creek conducted services with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Town Creek.
Mr. Scruggs leaves two daughters, Mrs. Chad Streeter, Town Creek and Mrs. Charles Jenkins, North Wilkesboro, N.C.; two brothers, J.H. Scruggs, Decatur and Ed Scruggs, Mount Hope; one sister, Mrs. G.H. Malone of Moultrie, Ga.; one half brother, H.L. Scruggs of Foley, Ala.
Brown Service of Tuscumbia was in charge of arrangements.

Although the headstone states that Mr. Scruggs died 8-28-1958, the obituary states that he died 8-28-1957.
