Funeral will be at 1 p.m. today, April 17, 1988. at Morgan Funeral Chapel for Thomas (Tom) Newton Harris, 68, Route 2, Attalla, who died Friday, April 15, 1988. at a local hospital. The Rev Jackie Harris and the Rev. J. D. Junkins will officiate. Burial will be at Red Hill Cemetery. Morgan Funeral Chapel is in charge.
Mr. Harris was a native and resident of Etowah County, a retired steel worker, a member of Masonic Lodge No. 383 and a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Imogene Harris; two daughters, Betty Jean Battles of Attalla, Joyce Ann McGee of Gadsden; a son, Bobby Thomas Harris of Attalla; a sister, Rachel Watson of Atlanta; a brother, Amos Jones Harris Jr. of Attalla and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill and Jim Sarratt, Donald Pierce, Wayne Couch, Larry Nance, Ted Howard and Ronald Harris.
