MR. ABBE DIED SUNDAY
Mr. Simon Milford Abbe, life long resident of the McGregor area, died 7:40 Sunday morning, November 14, in a McGregor nursing home.
Graveside services were held 2 p.m. Tuesday by Mack Mathis in the Crawford Cemetery.
Mr. Abbe, son of Simon G. and Rose Abbe, was born April 28, 1891 in the Windsor Community area. He attended schools in Highland, Crawford and in McGregor. He was married to Miss Annette Glasgow in Crawford on December 21, 1922. They farmed in the Windsor area until their retirement in 1972, at which time they moved into McGregor. Mrs. Abbe died July 22, 1974 and a son Simon Milford Abbe, Jr. preceded him in death in 1932.
He is survived by four sons, Bill Abbe of McGregor, Kenneth Abbe of Dallas, Jack Abbe of Dallas, and Allen Abbe of Austin; 8 grandchildren.
