Born in Chicago, Illinois. Attended St. Michael's Catholic school right across the street from his house. Worked for many years in both downtown Chicago for Drake Motors and then in Roselle for a car dealership there. Married is bride, Shirley Carruthers in June, 1942. Had 2 daughters, Cheryl and Susan. Moved to Kansas City area in 1959 to work with his older brother Herman. Opened up a Mobil Gas Station in Jan. 1962 and stayed there until 1983, when he retired. His brother Herman passed away in Nov. 1985, his bride Shirley passed away on Dec. 11, 1985, and he passed away on Feb. 4, 1986.
