Hattie's parents were "John Henry" Johann Heinrich Wicke & Helene Wessels Wicke. Hattie and her parents were born in Bockhorn?, Oldenburg, Germany. She immigrated to New York City with her brother John "Henry" Wicke, and possibly a sister Jasine who married a Henry Lagner of Switzerland, and probably their parents in 1845.
She married Frederick Boldt of Rostock, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany, on Oct. 22, 1865 at the Zion German Evangelical Lutheran Church in downtown Brooklyn. They had two children that survived into adulthood, Bertha & Martha Boldt. I believe that Bertha married first, John B. A. Haupt and second, William F. Schoenfeld and Martha married Henry C. Ott. Both Bertha & Martha became school teachers.
Henrietta Wicke Boldt and her brother, John "Henry" Wicke, and her husband Frederick Boldt and three of their children are buried in the Gruschow-Boldt-Buttner plots.
