Joe D. Adcock, age 43, of Rose Bud, Arkansas, passed away at his home on Thursday, April 22, 2010. Born in Heber Springs on June 22, 1966, he was the son of Melbourne Adcock and the late Mellie (May) Adcock.

A lifetime resident of Cleburne County, Joe was employed by the Red Apple where he worked in maintenance. He loved fishing and hunting with his son and his very special friend Mikie Bonhan. Joe was a Christian.

He is survived by his wife, LaDonna (Ford) Adcock of Rose Bud; one son, Lee Adcock of Rose Bud; one daughter, Ashley Modlin and her husband, Jay, of Batesville; his father, Melbourne Adcock of Rose Bud; two brothers, Jimmy Adcock and his wife, Rhonda, of Greenbrier and Timmy Adcock and his wife, Angela, of Quitman; three sisters, Carol Stroud and her husband, Michael, of Rose Bud, Sharon Lawrence and her husband, Dale, of Drasco, and Neta Mashburn of Des Arc; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 24, at the Olmstead Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 25, at South Cross Roads Church at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Larry Wilhite officiating. Interment will follow in the South Cross Roads Cemetery. Lee Adcock, Greg Herndon), Jay Modlin, Scott Ford, Johnny Presley, and Brian Hawk will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Adcock, Daniel Kostner, Derick Mashburn, Jared Roberts, and a very special friend Mikie Bonhan
