PAUL I NICKERSON 'PIN'--92: died Sunday [11-16] in HorizonHosp System-Greenville. He was born 23 Jul 1905 in Greenville to Joseph & Xalia Betts Nickerson. A 1924 grad of the for-mer Penn High School, he played on the only basketball team to reach the state play-offs. Active in sports as a youth, he participated in track, football &basketball. MrNickerson atten-ded Thiel College, SlipperyRock University & graduated in 1929 from KentState University. He was a machinist for more than 25yrs for Bessemer&LakeErie RR-former Greenville plant, retiring in 1970. MrNickerson was a member of Zions Reformed UnitedChurch of Christ-Green-ville. He belonged to BPO of Elks Lodge-145; Free&Accepted Masons-Eureka Lodge-290; Scottish Rites-NewCastle Consistory. His wife the former Florence Williamson, whom he wed 19 Feb 1937; died in Dec 1996.
Surviving are 2 children: Linda (sp-Gottfired) Kiefner-Tubingen GER; DrPaul Nickerson-Cleve land; 5 grandchildren. Besides his wife he was preceded in death by 2 bros & 2 sis.
