Rev Thomas C Carter was a well known and respected Baptist minister of the Ohio River Association. He was born and raised in Crittenden Co, KY. The son of David Washington Carter and his wife Nancy Jane Bennett Carter. He served several Churches in the Crittenden Co. area including Union Baptist Church where 2 of his 3 wives are buried in the Church Cemetery. His 3 wives were (1) Mary Addie Poston (2) Ella Ophelia Boston (3) Isabel Hopewell. Rev Carter and his last wife Isabel [also called Bell] are buried in Mapleview Cemetry. He died of Arteriosclerosis and Inflamation of the Prostate Gland.

My Grandmother, Ina Carter Salyers was his niece. He did the marriage ceremony for my Grandparents, Ina Carter and Walter Salyers.
