Hannah Schearer Herbein's father was John Schearer born 26 JAN 1798 in Bern Township, Berks Co. and died 29 OCT 1889, and is buried at Schwartzwald Church, of which he was a Reformed member. He was a blacksmith, and followed that occupation at Stonersville. He married Susan Body, daughter of Henry Body (Epler's?), b. 16 DEC 1797 and their (other) children were: Henry B. (Schwarzwald); Mary m. Levi Miller; Benjamin; Solomon; and Peter. (From Morton Montgomery)
