Funeral services for Anton Steier, 75, of Des Moines, were held Tuesday
afternoon from the Chittenden Funeral home with Reverend R. N. Olson of the Kent
Christian Church conducting the rites. Mr. Steier succumbed Friday, January 29,
at his home. Burial was in the Meridian cemetery.
Anton Steier was born in Switzerland on Decemeber 2, 1867 and came to the United
States at the early age of six weeks. He was a former resident of the Meridian
area and was well known in that community. The past 11 years he resided at Des
Moines.
He is survived bu his widow. Daisy, and a son, Joseph, both of Des Moines, and a
sister, Anna Meyer, who resides in Wisconsin."
