VETERAN DIES AT HOSPITAL
Alfred J. Oesau, 39, Kiel To Be Buried Monday
Alfred J. Oesau, 40, of Kiel, died Thursday evening at the Soldier’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

Mr. Oesau, a world war veteran had been in the armyhospital for the past six years and his death resulted from complications of war injuries.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon of 2 o’clock from the First Presbyterian Church at Kiel. Burial will take place in the Town of Eaton Cemetery.

The deceased was born June 29, 1893 in the Town of Schleswig. He attended district and high schools in Kiel. He worked on his father’s farm for some years. With the entrance of the United States into the world war, Mr. Oesau enlisted and spent 20 months in the army, 16 of which were spent in France. He had been ill for years as a result of the effects of the war.

The deceased is survived by his wife; three daughters,Joan, Elizabeth and Gladys; his parents, who live in Manitowoc and several brothers and sisters.
