Mrs. Meta Poppe, 79, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Thursday at Glenbeulah following a lingering illness.
She was born in Germany on March 19, 1870, and was married to H. Poppe in September, 1892, at Chilton.
Survivors include 4 children, Mrs. Mathilda Piek of Chilton, Edwin of Fremont, Ill., Herbert of Fond du Lac, and Harry of New Holstein; 7 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
