Elaine K. Weaver, 84, of 1922 Roosevelt Avenue, New Holstein, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999 at her home. She is the former Elaine Shaw, born October 28, 1914 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Edward and Emma Dysland Shaw. She graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1932. She married Herman Weaver in Green Bay on November 25, 1937. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1987 with family and friends which included a horse drawn carriage ride.
Herman preceded his wife in death on September 13, 1996. Herman and Elaine farmed in the area for many years. She was a member of St. John's UCC, New Holstein. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, baking and traveling.
Survivors include five children; Janine Maloney of Oconto Falls, Darol Weaver of Cedar Lake, Ronald Dean Weaver of Milwaukee, Donna (Robert) Benzschawel of New Holstein, and Sandra (Michael) Freund of New Holstein. Elaine is survived by 10 grandchildren. She is further survived by one sister, Ruth (Richard) Weaver of Abrams.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, a son-in-law Al Maloney, and two sisters, Thelma Enz and Dorothy Enz.
Funeral services will be at St. John's UCC, New Holstein, with the pastor Rev. James Werner officiating. Burial will be in the Eaton Cemetery, town of Eaton.
