Funeral services will he held Tuesday for Mrs. Theckla(sic) Westphalen, 66, of R. 2, Kiel, who died Saturday night at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, where she had been a patient for four days.The Rev. C. L. Reiter, pastor, will officiate at the 2 p.m. service at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kiel. Burial will be in the Eaton Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, from 4 p.m. today until 11 a.m. Tuesday and at the church from noon until the hour of services.
Born on Nov. 17, 1903, in the Town of Rhine, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Schmitt.
On May 8, 1924 she was married to Roland Westphalen of the Town of Eaton.
The couple located on the Westphalen homestead farm until her husband's death in December, 1965. She lived in Kiel since then.
Mrs. Westphalen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel, and the Eaton Cemetery Ladies Aid Society.
Survivors include five daughters, two sons, 26 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Walter Vogel of St. Nazianz, Mrs. Herbert Schwartz of rural Kiel, Mrs. Elmer Herman of Sheboygan, Mrs. Leon Roeck of Kiel and Mrs. Eugene Mathes of rural Plymouth, and three brothers, Albert and Elmer, both of Kiel, and Herbert of rural Elkhart Lake.
