Melvin L. Zeman RACINE – Mr. Melvin L. Zeman, 82, passed away at Becker Shoop Center on Wednesday, July 4, 2007.
Melvin Zeman was born in Manitowoc County to the late Myles and Anna (nee: Krish) Zeman on November 9, 1924. He had lived in Racine for over 50 years. In Sheboygan, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Westphalen on June 18, 1949.
Mr. Zeman was the owner and operator of West Racine Shoe Service for 33 years retiring in 1987. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. He also belonged to the West Racine Businessman's Association.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Evelyn; three sons, Michael (Margeret) Zeman of South Milwaukee, Patrick (Pascale) Zeman of Dayton, Ohio, and Chuck (Sharon) Zeman of Wisconsin Rapids; two daughters, Deborah (Gary) Dawes of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Ann Schell of Eau Claire; and six grandchildren, Christopher (Megan) Zeman, Alex Schell, Roland Zeman, Pierre Zeman, Dana Zeman, and Jakob Zeman. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Private services were held by Father Gregory at the Eaton Union Cemetery. A great thank you to Mary and all who cared for Mel at Becker Shoop Center. WILSON FUNERAL
