At her residence Saturday, February 24, 2001. Age 65 years. Born in Joliet, May 21, 1935.
Preceded in death by her loving father John T. O'Brien, her mother Ruby R. O'Brien, brothers John T. O'Brien II and Frances J. O'Brien and aunt Dorothy Richardson, nephew David J. O'Brien and uncle William O'Brien.
Survived by her loving husband and friend George H. Coope, her special kids Kelly A. (Matt) DeRocco and Wendy M. (Steve) Long, step-daughters Janet L. Coope and Deborah L. (Kent) Bugg, sisters-in-law Catherine O'Brien and Dorothy O'Brien. Nieces and nephews John T. (Lorraine) O'Brien, Sharon L. (Mike) Berta, Judy (Peter) Raino, Denise (Jack) Paton and Debra (Bob) Meszaros. Also numerous grandchildren, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
She was employed by the State of Illinois for 36 years, a parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Raymond and member of the Thursday morning ladies prayer and renew group. She enjoyed traveling, especially her trip the Vatican and her personal blessing by the Pope. Mary Ann was very devoted to her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held from the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Wednesday, February 28th at 11 A.M. to the Cathedral of St. Raymond at 11:30 A.M. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Hills of Rest Cemetery. Memorials to the Joliet Area Community Hospice will be appreciated. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
