John Robert Matz, 67, a self-employed mechanic, died March 10, 1984, at Maryvale Samaritan Hospital.
Mr. Matz, of Phoenix, was born in Morton, Pa., and moved to Arizona four years ago from Pennsylvania. He was a member of Sky Harbor Flying Club and the Civil Air Patrol. He had served in the Air Force.
Survivors include his wife Margaret; sons John, James and Charles; six sisters and a brother; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. today at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 63rd Ave and Camelback. Maryvale Chapel and Mortuary made arrangements
