Mr Leek was well known in Aledo and for several years drove the water wagon used in sprinkling the streets here, He was a native of Wales, born Aug 10, 1853 in Victoria, the last of a family of nine children. He came with his parents to Mineral Ridge, O., in 1858.
Moved Here in 1901
In 1877, he was married to Miss Mary A Baker, of Mineral Ridge and in 1881, they moved to Mercer county, coming to Aledo in 1901.
Mrs Leek died in June , 1912.
Surviving are one half-brother, Dan Jones, of Mineral Ridge, O; two sons, Thomas Leek of Lake Lillian, Minn and George Leek of ? Saskatchewan, Canada: one daughter, Mrs Catherine Denen of Aledo and 15 grandchildren and ? great grandchildren. Mr Leek was a member of the Ioof Lodge
