Mrs. Ethel May Wetzbarger was born June 25, 1886 at Edgewood, Iowa the daughter of William and Emma Wandell. She married Gates Wetzbarger in Redfield Oct. 6, 1909. She had been a resident of Spink county 55 years residing at Frankfort until until 1921 when they moved to Redfield.
She was survived by four daughters, Mrs. Frank (Lenora) Heyse, Chicago; Mrs. Gustav (Zelma) Olsen, Estherville, Iowa; Mrs. Robert (Lorraine) McDermott, Chicago; Mrs. Clair (Maxine) Minnick, Redfield; three sons, Leonard, Minneapolis; Donald of Chicago; Gates of Sioux Falls; one brother, Wesley Wandell, Redfield; 19 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
