He was raised on a farm in Mitchell,South Dakota. He worked at the Southern Pacific Livestock Yards in Roseville, CA. He loved Hereford cattle. He had two daughters by a former marriage Julie & Eunice Hudson - Nelson's. He was a very kind and gentle man.
