On December 6, 1944, flying his FG-lA, Bureau #14063 he failed to return from a scouting mission-reasons unknown. His name is listed on the "Tablets of the missing," National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii. He also has a Memorial plaque located at the Sparkman/Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas.
