Osawatomie- A funeral service for Mary Ellen Finley, 81, Lane, who died Wednesday, July 13, 1994, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home here, was held Friday, July 15,1994, at the Lane United Methodist Church. The Rev. Kirby Hayes officiated and buial took place at Lane Cemetery.

She was born November 2, 1912, near Miltonvale in Cloud Co. Kan., to William and Eliza ( Triplett ) Gibbs. She attended a country school in Cloud Co.

She was married to Francis Coyle in Cloud County in 1933. This marriage ended in divorce in the 30's or early 1940's. She married George Finley on Dec. 22, 1951, at Leon, Iowa. They lived about two miles east of Missouri City, Mo., and moved to Lane in September of 1959. She worked for several years at the Lane Cafe.

She was a member of the Lane United Methodist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxillary of Lane Post 9734.

Survivors include her husband, George, of the home; one son, Francis William "Bill" Coyle, Salina; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
