Earl H. Stelling, 82, of Gages Lake, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2001 at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville.
    Earl was born on January 19, 1919 in Prairieview, IL to the the parents of Fred and Lilly (nee Ricker) Stelling. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army. Mr. Stelling was employed with Northern Illinois Gas Company for over 30 years, retiring in 1982. Earl was a member of the United Protestant Church in Grayslake where he was an usher. Mr. Stelling was a member of the Swedish Glee Club in Waukegan. He loved golf and played for the Swedish Glee Club and Northern Illinois Gas Company and was an avid Cubs Fan.
    Earl leaves his loving wife Anna Mae (nee Hughes); sister-in-law: Bernice Stelling of Bellevile and several nieces and nephews.
    Earl was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: LeRoy and Harold Stelling, three sisters: Ruth, Evelyn and Ethel.
    Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12, 2001 at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030 with the Rev. Bill Owen of the united Protestant Church, Grayslake officiating. Interment to follow at Warren Cemetery, Gurnee, IL. Friends of the family may visit at the funeral chapel on Sunday from 5-8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Grayslake Rescue Squad, 160 Hawley St., Grayslake, IL 60030 or United Protestant Church Building Fund, 55 S.
