"Mrs. Myrtie Elizabeth Humble Floyd, 78, widow of the late Lucas Floyd, West Somerset, died yesterday at Somerset City Hospital where she had been a patient for the past week.


Mrs. Floyd was born July 26, 1889 in Pulaski County, the daughter of Isaac and Thursa Ann Lane Humble.


She and Lucas Floyd were married Nov. 19, 1914 in Somerset and they made their home in the county. Mr. Floyd preceded her in death by 15 years.


She was a member of the Daughters of America and the Order of the Eastern Star.


She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edward Young, Ludlow, and Mrs. J.H. Whitaker, Knoxville, Tenn. and two sons, Robert Floyd, Covington, and Lucas Floyd, Jr., Bowling Green.


Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Co. with the Rev. Wendell Butt officiating. Burial will be in the White Oak Cemetery.
