Edwin L. Wakeland 78 , of Sylvania Township passed away Wednesday May, 12, 2010 at the Ebeid Hospice Residence. Ed was employed as an Operating Engineer with E.K. Bridge Construction, Lloyd Weaver Excavating and the Sylvania Township Road Department. before retiring in 1994. He was proud to have served with the United States Navy aboard the Battleship New Jersey, during the Korean War Ed is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Dorothy L. Wakeland, Sons Gregory L.(Leslie) Bryan (Teri) and Thomas L. (Holly) Wakeland. grandchildren . Katie (Jeremy) Storost, Jeremy, Jessica, Jordan, Rachel, and Ian Wakeland, Greatgrand children Ava, Emma and Aaron Storost and brother James Wakeland Edwin is preceded in death by his parents . George A. and Mildred A. , brother George A. Wakeland Jr. Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St, Sylvania, Ohio , Sunday May 16th from 4-9 p.m. were the funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Toledo Memorial Park.
