Linda was the daughter of John Dixon and Helen R. Davis. She was educated in the Crisp County School System and was a Class of 1975 graduate of Crisp County High School in Cordele, Georgia. She continued her education at Moultrie Area Vocational-Technical School in Moultrie, Georgia. She was employed with Boyd Management Company as a Site Manager. She was also employed with Hardees Food System from 1979 until 2002 as General Manager and received several awards. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Cordele, Georgia where she served on the Usher Board.
She was married to Randy Parker.
