ANDERSON, May 30.― Ill for the last several months, Mrs. Janie Hall Webb, 80, well known woman of the Flat Rock community of the county, died Sunday night at her residence.
She had been in feeble health for almost a year, but her condition did not become critical until some two weeks ago and she failed rapidly after that time.
She was born and reared at the old Hall homestead near Starr, a daughter of the late A. Jackson Hall and Mary Dean Hall.
She was a member or the Flat Rock Baptist church, an institution with which she became affiliated after her marriage to D. B. Webb, who died some 20 years ago. She was always active In the work of her church and was a woman of fine Christian character.
She is survived by two adopted children. Mrs. Wilton E. Brown of the Flat Rock community, Mrs. Charles W. Brown of Anderson, and one brother, T. Dean Hall of Starr.
Funeral services were held at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon at Flat Rock Baptist church with the Rev. W. W. Leathers officiating, assisted by the Rev. Prue H. Kelly, the Rev. T. E. Dill and the Rev. Virgil Smith. Interment followed In Flat Rock cemetery.
The following nephews served as active pallbearers: James A, Winter, Lester Rainey, Edgar Rainey, S. A. Hall, Homer Rainey. T. D. Hall and J. B. Hall.
