Mrs. Ella F. DOBBS, 85, widow of former Assistant Postmaster Albert W. DODDS, died Wednesday, Apr. 7, 1948, in Gloversville at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold WAY. She had been a resident of Ithaca 55 years before moving to Gloversville 6 years ago. She was a member of the First Baptist Church when she resided here and became affiliated with the same denomination in Gloversville. She was a member of Forest City Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Ithaca Women's Christian Temperance Union.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. WAY, Mrs. Helen WINDER of Riverside, Calif., and Mrs. Dorothy VAN SISE of East Williston, L.I.; a son, Albert B. DOBBS of Port Huron, Mich.; four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Wagner Funeral Home, 421 N. Aurora St. The Rev. A. H. Boutwell of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call tonight at the funeral home
Ella spent her early years living in Woodbury, Gloucester, NJ where her father was a merchant. She was married to Albert W Dobbs on April 13, 1887 by the Rev H E Thompson at the Christ Church in Woodbury, Gloucester, NJ.
