The former Hilda Krueger was born Nov. 27, 1892, at Hustisford, a daughter of the late Henry and Louise Schwenso Krueger, and attended Hustisford schools. On April 5, 1911, she married Herbert Pieper at Hustisford.
The couple lived in Cascade where they operated a cheese factory for eight years and later operated farms in the Plymouth and Kiel area prior to Mr. Pieper’s death in 1963.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Louis Corners and the Ladies Aid Society.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Ingelburg) Matthies of rural Kiel and Mrs. Adrian (Ruth) Melis of Wauwatosa; two sons, Harry of Kiel and Harold of Plymouth; 12 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. A son, a daughter and grandson also preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at Zion Lutheran Church in Louis Corners, the Rev. Adalbert Schultz, pastor officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
